Our client is a national body dedicated to careers education in England is looking for a Youth Engagement Officer. It supports schools and colleges in providing contemporary and comprehensive careers education. This fast-paced and collaborative environment is driven by the mission to ensure young people receive the best possible guidance for their future.

What You'll Be Doing

Coordinate and Support the Youth Advisory Group:

  • Manage and support the Youth Advisory Group.
  • Develop strong relationships with young people and being the main point of contact.
  • Plan recruitment, onboarding, and induction for new group members.
  • Collect programme data for reporting purposes.
  • Handle administrative tasks and collection of data
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of young people during activities.

Support Youth Voice Initiatives:

  • Work with your Manager and wider teams to enhance youth participation and provide general support.
  • Support external opportunities for young people, preparing them for engagements.

Support the Education Development Team:

Assist with project management, event administration and share best practices.

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Experience in youth engagement coordination and youth-led events.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and welfare practices for young people.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects.
  • Budget management and progress reporting experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with young people.

Desirable:

  • Safeguarding qualification.
  • Understanding of careers education policy.
