Youth Mental Health Worker

Are you passionate about the younger generation's wellbeing?

Do you want to make a difference for students facing social, emotional and mental health needs?

A fantastic school in the Swindon district are looking for a recent graduate to collaborate with their specialist teachers to provide students with significant social, emotional and mental health needs support throughout their educational career. As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will give the students a safe space to open up about thier challenges and provide them with suggestions on how to handle them in a healthy way. Furthermore, you will gain experience on identifying potential triggers for students and work on how to approach these triggers.

The school are looking for a committed, confident and well-educated candidate to take on the role of Youth Mental Health Worker and bring enthusiasm and empathy into the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent behaviour management skills, relevant education (Psychology, Criminology, Health and Social Care degrees etc.) experience in any environment. The Youth Mental Health Worker will get to experience working alongside therapists, behaviour management consultants and specialist psychologists which will open up doors and help them succed in the industry.

Experience working with children / in the SEN community would be beneficial but not mandatory.
