BEHAVIOUR MENTOR - East & North London

Are you a passionate and dedicated behaviour mentor?

Do you have experience working with students with SEND and SEMH needs?

Do you have the ability to make an impact in the life of a child from a disadvantage background?

If your answer to these questions is yes, then this is the role for you!

  • £100-£110 per day
  • Behaviour Mentor - East & North London
  • AWR compliant rates of pay
  • Full time position

Requirements

  • Immediate right to work in the UK
  • Experience of working with students with SEND within a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting, or within a mainstream school
  • A patient and understanding approach
  • A flexible approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Existing DBS check on the update service
  • Experience of augmentative and alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method) are beneficial, but not essential

Responsibilities

  • To work alongside the class teachers to ensure the school behaviour policy is adhered to
  • Be aware of, and remain responsible for all safeguarding of pupils within your care
  • Work collaboratively with both teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students
  • Foster the students independence
  • Promote wellbeing and good welfare
