Behaviour Mentor | Harrow, HA3 | £95-£105 | Long Term-Permanent | ASAP Start

We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work closely with a Year 5 child who requires additional support due to challenging behaviour. Our partner school in Harrow are an inclusive three-form entry whose ethos revolves around fostering an environment where each child feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a Year 5 child, assisting in managing and improving their behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to the individual needs of the child, promoting positive change and growth.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing relationship with the child, building trust and rapport to facilitate progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Monitor and track the child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure effectiveness.
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, patience, and empathy in all interactions with the child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children displaying challenging behaviour, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults alike.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of children.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or child psychology would be advantageous.
