The Role:
NAV OVERSIGHT SPECIALIST

The NAV Oversight Specialist will play a key role in a centralised function for NAV oversight across the various M&G fund ranges. This team will be responsible for operating all NAV oversight checks for the in-scope funds on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis in accordance with the designated NAV Oversight framework.

As a NAV Oversight Specialist, the individual will require to partner with Third party administrators and Key stakeholders across M&G. The role holder requires excellent people management and influencing skills, wide ranging knowledge of Investment Accounting processes and regulatory requirements.
The individual will have background in Financial Services having an understanding of Investment Accounting and experience of influencing at a variety of levels.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Daily review and investigation of highlighted NAV exceptions
  • Daily Share Class Divergence checks and investigation of differences
  • Daily Share Class hedging oversight checks
  • Daily out of tolerance benchmark, component checks
  • Maintenance of key relationships such as third-party administrators, Data Management etc
  • Analysis of emerging trends and issues
  • Liaise with third-party administrators in the operation of the daily checks, exception investigation, attending SRMs, monitoring KPIs.
  • Liaise with other internal teams to ensure exceptions are appropriately investigated.
  • Ensure any errors are appropriately and timeously investigated and recorded.
  • Ensure that all controls and procedures are documented up to date.
  • Help the successful completion of M&G change initiatives affecting funds eg in species, fund launches, closures mergers.
  • Review daily PSSP output for OEICs and SICAV ranges
  • Monthly PSSP tolerance review for OEIC and SICAV ranges
  • Finance and Tax Forum & Board reporting on PSSP tolerance activity

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience within a NAV oversight function within Financial Services
  • Be able to deliver results in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Accounting qualification or qualified by significant relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of the regulated funds requirements and components of a funds NAV
  • Proven technical experience of the pricing and workings of Investment Funds
  • Experience of different assets types and valuation methodologies
