Rev & Regs are recruiting for a Compliance Officer for a UK Challenger Bank (Lending/Finance/Savings). This is a generalist compliance role which will undertake monitoring reviews (including thematic reviews), provide regulatory advice and guidance, develop policies and procedures, and keep abreast of new regulatory changes (horizon scanning). Responsibilities: Delivery and completion of thematic reviews as part of the Bank’s Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.Delivery of second line quality assurance reviews. Assessing the strength of a range of first line controls.Articulating clear and accurate feedback on second line Thematic and Assurance Reviews.Providing regulatory advice and guidance. Answering Risk and Compliance queries.Review and development of policies and procedures.Supporting the closure of Compliance owned Corrective Action Plans, off the back of Thematic reviews.Support the creation and publication of monthly reporting to relevant Committees.Proactive horizon scanning, keeping the Risk and Compliance Team and wider business up to date on all regulatory changes.Contribute to the 2LoD oversight of key projects and programmes Experience: Good knowledge and experience of regulatory responsibilities within Banking/Lending/Finance.Demonstrable experience of Thematic Review Report writing.Experience of quality assurance testing.An ability to self-teach and conduct research into FCA and PRA regulatory requirements.Experience of a PRA and FCA regulated environmentKnowledge of FCA Handbook: COBS, TCF/Consumer Duty, Conduct Risk.A relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA, IRM) - Preferable.
