Role Overview: As a Paper Recycling Procurement Specialist, you will be instrumental in driving Restore Datashred’s growth by sourcing and securing high-quality recovered paper fibre across the UK. This role extends beyond traditional procurement; it encompasses business development, strategic relationship-building, and expanding our market presence. Your primary focus will be on identifying and converting new business opportunities to ensure a consistent and sustainable supply of recovered fibre that aligns with our commercial and operational objectives.? Key Responsibilities: Identify and target high-value waste opportunities for key fibre grades, with a particular emphasis on the paper and fibre industry.?Procure materials directly from B2B sources and manage logistics to ensure efficient deliveries.?Collaborate with the Head of Infrastructure & Paper Sales to identify key markets for fibre sales.?Work closely with operational teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with processing capabilities.?Contribute to growth strategies by innovating and diversifying our fibre portfolio.?Assist the paper sales team in developing potential global fibre sales outlets.?Support and promote growth within our 'Restore Recycle’ brand.?Perform additional tasks as required by the line manager.? About You: Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying, targeting, and securing new sources of fibre waste, specifically within the paper or fibre industry.?Strong commercial relationship-building skills with B2B suppliers, brokers, and waste management companies.?Proficient in developing and executing strategies to expand a procurement network.?In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and pricing fluctuations within the paper or fibre industry.?Confident in representing Restore Datashred at industry events and networking opportunities.?Experienced in managing supply chain efficiency across multiple sites.?Commercially aware with a background in the recovered fibre industry, particularly in sales or procurement.? Your new companyA £multi-million global manufacturing leader in North Manchester is seeking a driven, ambitious and experienced people leader to join their successful team. Due to promotions, this has created a new opportunity within the structure to join the team on a permanent basis.Your new roleThe Procurement Support Team has a responsibility for providing day-to-day support to the wider procurement department, so they are involved with everything from updating the SAP system with the latest procurement data, setting up suppliers on the system, dealing with invoice queries and providing external market data to stakeholders. This team is also responsible for evaluating and presenting purchasing data ready for tendering, as well as managing any routine price requests. As the Procurement Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of this team, which currently comprises 6 members split across 2 sites. In this leadership role, you will be the point of escalation for any queries that may arise, and you will ultimately have accountability for the team's support service to the wider Procurement team. This will entail setting and monitoring KPIs which align with the company's Purchasing and Procurement objectives, as well as managing the performance and development of each of your colleagues, including training, personal development plans and day-to-day support. You will work closely with internal Procurement stakeholders to ensure that you and your team are providing a top-level support service and identify any potential areas for continuous improvement to the service.
