THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a dynamic team as a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst. This role offers the chance to provide crucial IT support within a leading public transport sector organization. Ideal for those with IT experience or those eager to start a career in IT support.

Salary  :  £24,0000
Location :  Newcastle City Centre 
Hybrid working  :  Yes, a mix of office and working from home.
Working Hours  :  Shift work is part of the role. 4 days on and 4 days off.


THE ROLE
As a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to manage IT support interactions, addressing and resolving technical issues promptly. You will serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related concerns, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem resolution.
  • Offer 1st line support for IT issues.
  • Resolve or escalate tech problems.
  • Proactively prevent issues.
  • Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line teams.

YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
We are looking for individuals with an NVQ Level 2 in ICT Support or 1 years’ experience in a similar role offering remote technical support. You will be proficient supporting across:
  • Microsoft Office 365.
  • Windows 7 & 10.
  • Active Directory / Group Policy.
  • Printer issues.
  • Mobile Devices.
  • With a basic knowledge of network (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) troubleshooting.

YOUR SOFT SKILLS
Strong communication skills are vital, as you will interact with colleagues via phone, email, and chat. A customer-centric approach, problem-solving mindset, and flexibility with shift patterns are crucial. Being self-motivated and capable of working independently during remote shifts is equally important.
