Accounts and Payroll Assistant - Thurrock - £26k - £30k per annum
The Role
To provide support to a variety of areas of the business including undertaking accounting administrative tasks such as reconciliations, checking receipts, goods in invoices, maintaining various administrative databases and sage along with conducting monthly payroll support for the company.
Responsibilities
-
Balance Sheet reconciliation, Fixed assets, HMRC, Payroll control, Creditors, Debtors, intercompany trading etc
- Journals var
- Month end processing
- Sales Invoices importing and reconcile
- Purchase Order number generation
- Purchase invoices input
- Purchase invoices import
- Daily Cash receipts posting and allocation
- Bank reconciliations
- Sales Ledger Statements, housekeeping
- Credit control
- Duty Sales input and Vat Intercompany reconciliations
- Bank Transfers intercompany, BACS and Priority payments HSBC
- Key Audit contact
- Add-hoc processes
- Must be proficient on Excel
- Sage200 and Sage50
Essential Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Planning and Organisational Skills
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to use handheld devices and the use of other computerised equipment

- Salary £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
