I am exclusively working with a fantastic company within the property space hiring for an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone studying their ACCA/CIMA.

This position provides outstanding exposure to various accounting functions and ample opportunities for career advancement.

  • Hybrid: 4 days in 1 from home
  • Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
  • Location: City of London

What can you expect?

  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed in accordance with the month end timetable.
  • Set up payments on the various banking portals, as and when requested.
  • Complete quarterly VAT returns and ensure POA are made in a timely manner.
  • Assist with any audit requests that may arise at year end.
  • Complete various reconciliations - supplier statements, balance sheet, etc.
  • Providing cover for Accounts Receivable bank postings.
  • Assisting with process reviews i.e. writing process notes.
  • Any other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

What skills and attributes will you bring?

  • Proven relevant experience working in accounts teams (minimum 2 years).
  • Studying AAT or ACCA.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel user.
  • High attention to detail (essential).
  • Inquisitive mindset, keen to get involved in all areas of finance.
  • Effective communicator with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Organised mind-set with the ability to multi-task.
  • Adaptable, flexible and open to learning new skills, developing expertise and taking instruction.
