Accounts Assistant
My client,a thriving automotive business in Chelmsford, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to help support the team. This is a fully office based role which reports into the Finance Manager handling the day to day transactional finances.
Responsibilities
- Manage obligations to suppliers, customers and third-party vendors
- Process bank deposits
- Reconcile financial statements
- Prepare, send and store invoices
- Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
- Submit tax forms
- Identify and address discrepancies
- Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
- Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
Skills/Experience
- Some experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Good knowledge of Finance procedures and debt collection regulations
- Hands-on experience with computer software
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical error
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- BSc degree or relevant qualification
You will already have at least 1 years experience, ideally gained within the automotive sector and be studying a relevant qualification.
