Accounts Assistant

Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a large law firm who are looking to add an accounts assistant to their team on a permanent basis. 

The right candidate will possess previous experience similar to the following and be in a position to hit the ground running following training.

This is a hybrid role and will offer working from home.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily banking tasks, including bank reconciliation.
• Monitor cheque runs and other cashier/treasury reports related to client-to-office accounting transactions.
• Assist with month-end procedures.
• Process automated and manual payments via BACS.
• Handle ad hoc financial reporting.
• Address inquiries from fee earners and other staff members.
• Provide support for the Finance helpdesk mailbox.
• Desired understanding of SRA rules.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a finance team handling high transaction volumes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently within established boundaries.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and numerical abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with individuals at various levels of responsibility.
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel.

Desirable:

• AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Familiarity with Solicitors Account Rules.
