Accounts Payable
Location: Watford
Salary: Up to £35,000
Job Type: Full-time, 12 month FTC, 5 days per week in the office
The Role:
We are partnering with a multinational retail company who are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Watford. In this pivotal role you will be dealing with supplier payments and all related queries, while ensuring all financial transactions are executed with precision and efficiency.
What you will do:
- Daily review of discrepancies between supplier invoices and purchase orders generated from the auto-match system. Resolving these discrepancies promptly and ensuring supplier payments are generated correctly and on time;
- Process payments where claims are correct, ensuring all paperwork has been properly authorised;
- To receive, log and investigate supplier claims by liaising with buyers and/or warehouses;
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements;
- Assisting Account Payable supervisor and manager on the period-end process, including preparation of allocated journals;
About you:
- Accounts payable experience gained within a high volume computerised environment;
- Graduate (2nd/3rd job), preferably with an accounting/business background, and studying or intending to study toward a professional accountancy qualification;
- Good Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups);
- Team player, self motivated, with good prioritisation skills;
