Main Purpose of the job:

To provide related general administrative support to the Home Ownership Service team

Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:

  1. Manage all correspondence within the Home Ownership Service
  2. To carry out routine maintenance and updating of leaseholders and Right to Buy applicants information
  3. Assist with the production of service charge statements and bills
  4. Complete work in accordance with agreed targets and timescales
  5. Ensure all work reflects Lewisham Council corporate objectives and values
  6. To maintain an effective customer care approach when carrying out duties
  7. To keep up to date with relevant legislations
  8. Participate fully and effectively in team working and contribute to a culture of continuous performance improvement
  9. Take responsibility for own learning and development to ensure an effective value-added contribution to the Service and Organisation’s objectives are maintained
  10. To assist with other duties, as required and to ensure all work reflects Lewisham Council corporate objectives and values as directed

Knowledge

Proactively manage a variety of RTB and home ownership functions within procedural & legislativedeadlines

Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of RTB / Collection / Service Charge legislation and communicate this clearly and precisely to others in writing, interview and telephone

Respond to correspondence and complaints and provide drafts for member’senquiries (s)

Identify and record details of vulnerable residents, signpost residents for support asrequired (s)

Ensure safeguarding concerns are acted on immediately and in compliance with the safeguardingprocedure
