My client is a RIBA chartered architectural practice renowned for innovative designs and commitment to sustainability. They are looking for an Architectural Technician to join the office in the vibrant city of Birmingham to assist with a diverse range of projects from the residential, education and commercial sectors. The collaborative team is dedicated to delivering excellence in Architecture and are now looking for a passionate Architectural Technician to join them.
The successful Architectural Technician will need a relevant degree and significant experience post qualification. You will work closely with architects, client, and other team members to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring that projects meet our high standards of quality and compliance. Revit proficiency is essential.
Responsibilities, Experience and Skills for the role of Architectural Technician:
- Relevant Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
- Significant experience post qualification
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to develop and refine project concepts.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction methods.
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Membership with CIAT or working towards accreditation is an advantage.
- Revit Knowledge is essential
