ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO JOIN A LEADING AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE COMPANY ON A 24-30 MONTH FTC

• On-site in Merthyr Tydfil
• £33,250 to £34,250 per year
• 24-30 Fixed Term Contract
• 37.5 hours a week
• Fridays Off
• Ability to obtain SC clearance is essential

WHAT WILL THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN BE DOING?

You will be joining a team working the Mechanical and Electrical assembly of Armoured Vehicles. You'll be using a variety of hand and air tools along with Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools on precision assemblies. Other responsibilities will include:

• Assembly and integration of complex systems
• Working from drawings and engineering instruction
• Performing quality and performance testing
• Other production tasks on high value hardware

WE NEED THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO HAVE…

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician / Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
• Heavy/Large vehicle assembly experience
• Strong mechanical bias
• Ability to work Monday to Thursday at Merthyr Tydfil
• Complete a week's training in Ampthill
