Assistant Accountant

Based: Chorley

Salary: circa £35k + bonus + private medical + hols + social events

Our client is a rapidly expanding, family owned business forecasting 30% year on year growth. With investment into new staff, offices and products over the last 12 months they are continuing to grow. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team, supporting the Head of Finance with overseeing the finance department and live by their company values in delivering to their customers

Role:

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, monthly packs, budgets and forecast assistance
  • Daily invoicing and purchase ledger duties, matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Credit control duties - dealing with suppliers, reducing debt
  • Reconciling supplier and customer accounts
  • Cash flow - assisting Finance Director
  • Resolve invoice and transaction queries with relevant departments, liaising with customers building strong relationships
  • Assist with reporting and other management tasks as required
  • Assist with any process/system updates through finance and wider business

Experience:

  • Experienced in a finance role, AAT desirable but not essential
  • Willing to learn, work as a team and also able to work independently
  • Positive, hands on and able to work in a busy business
