Job

The role of Assistant Legal Cashier will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

• Operating in compliance with all relevant regulations including The Law Society of Scotland (LSS), Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML)
• Maintaining firm and client accounts
• Processing CHAPS & BACS transactions
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end procedures
• Daily banking routines and balancing
• Purchase ledger invoice management
• Ensuring that the service needs of the Firm are delivered efficiently and effectively

You

As an Assistant Legal Cashier you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following:

• Proven experience in managing financial records and accounts
• Familiarity with legal cashiering practices and compliance with Law Society accounts rules
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience in a legal or financial setting is beneficial
• Possession of a SOLAS qualification is desirable
