Assistant Management Accountant

Are you a very Ambitious Part Qualified Management Accountant? I am looking for an individual that wants to join a fast paced, well established privately owned business in Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the Financial controller, the role will be responsible for:

• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.

• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations

• Sales and margin analysis.

• Variance analysis and reporting against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.

• Control of AR and AP ledgers and support functions, overseeing weekly payment requests.

• Assist with the budget and forecast process.

• Manage the annual audit process, and ensure it runs smoothly and to time.

• Implement, standardise and improve financial reporting and controls.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices with at least 2 years gained in a similar role in a fast paced environment and ideally studying towards ACCA/CIMA

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Advanced Microsoft excel skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Disciplined to meet deadlines while maintaining controls.

• Passionate and can-do collaborative attitude.

• Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.

In return the business can offer a salary of £30,,000 to £35,000, work from home one day a week, 25 days holiday, study support after completion of probation, and entry into company health and wellness scheme.
