Azure DevOps Engineer
Azure Devops Engineer - TRE
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: Remote
Day Rate: £550 Outside IR35
Previous experience in NHS or Higher Education is a strong advantage
We deliver innovative tech solutions for operational excellence. Join us as a DevOps Engineer to enhance system reliability and streamline software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up Azure accounts, subscriptions, and Landing Zones.
- Deploy fixes and new features using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Manage Linux and Windows servers.
- Update and manage Azure Virtual Machine images.
- Implement changes in Azure networking and storage services.
- Maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines and use Terraform for IaC.
- Ensure high system availability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage Azure applications.
- Simplify infrastructure and avoid over-engineering.
Requirements:
- Experience with Trusted Research Environments (TREs).
- Strong knowledge of Azure; Azure certification (preferably AZ104).
- Experience with Azure CAF, Terraform IaC, and Python.
- Proficiency with GitHub Actions and GitOps best practices.
- Skills in managing Linux (Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu) and Windows servers (2019, 2022).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with Docker and container management.
- Agile development principles and security best practices.
Desirable:
- Experience with ReactJS, TypeScript.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd).
- Knowledge of additional languages (JavaScript, Java, C++, Ruby).
- Experience with UI test frameworks (MS Playwright).
- Background in technology consultancy and research platforms.
