Are you a Bookkeeper seeking a new opportunity in a growing firm based in Belsize Park?

Our client is a 3 Partner firm created through a merger of two North London firms. As a true general practice firm they focus on OMB clients with turnovers up to £20m in sectors such as Media, Optical, Healthcare, Property & Entrepreneurs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Entering details for payments, receipts, purchase and sales invoices into accounting software (primarily Xero, however other cloud-based software skills will be useful) and Excel.
  • Completing VAT returns for review by manager/partner. An understanding of general VAT rules is required.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting adjustments (e.g. depreciation, accruals, prepayments, deferred income etc.) to assist in preparing a trial balance suitable for year-end financial statements or periodic management accounts.

The successful candidate will

  • Be studying for your AAT.
  • Have at least 12 months experience including management accounts and bookkeeping.
  • Preferably have working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks and Sage
