We are currently supporting an excellent accountancy practice, that are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Business Services team. They are a highly reputable, mid-sized practice with a great working culture.
This role is best suited to a career bookkeeper or management accountant, rather than a trainee accountant looking to qualify.



This will be a varied position including:

  • managing monthly management accounts preparation
  • reviewing bookkeeping, reconciling accounts up to trial balance, reviewing/submitting monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • using Xero, but also Sage, Quickbooks, and VT
  • liaising directly with clients and providing a high level of client care
  • supporting clients with their accounting software, and assisting them with transitioning over to Xero



Requirements


It is essential that you have preparing management accounts, and either preparing or reviewing bookkeeping. Experience in an accountancy practice is advantageous as you will be required to organise your time and balance the needs of a portfolio of clients.



The right applicant will also have great time management skills, meticulous attention to detail and possess the ability to work individually and as part of a team. 


Client care is crucial in this role, so impeccable communication skills and the ability to problem solve and advise is essential.


Benefits


Salary in the region of £30,000-£38,000 dependent on experience plus benefits package.
