Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Closure Support Accountant on behalf of Luton Borough Council.

We are looking for a Closure Support Accountant who can assist our client with the 2023/34 accounts and work with the auditors to get the accounts finalised.

They are looking for strong local government experience where you have directly supported closedown duties in the past.

If you have had experience dealing with unitary authority accounts that would be ideal.



Skills/Knowledge required:
* Excel (advanced spreadsheet skills)
* Preparation of statement of accounts
* Experience with liaison with external auditors
* Good with liaising with colleagues to seek out audit evidence.
