Our client is a UK-based tool makers specialising in the design and manufacture of moulds and dies for the plastic, rubber, and diecasting industries. With over 60 years of knowledge and experience in the industry, they are committed to delivering high-quality products and services.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a CNC Lathe Operator located in Rochdale. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components according to specifications.

Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing machine tooling, selecting and installing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, monitoring machine operations, and performing quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of machine tooling and cutting tools
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and operating software
  • Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and minor maintenance tasks
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Tool making experience would be an advantage
