We are looking for an experienced VMC Operator to join our client in Hythe. Working with a Production Department that is focussed on the scheduling and efficient manufacture and on time delivery of products to meet both internal and external customer needs. The department is consistently striving to work to best practice and lean manufacturing methodologies.

The VMC Operator is responsible for producing components whilst ensuring maximum targets are met in terms of output. The operator must also ensure that all work schedules are carried out in order to satisfy customer demands whilst delivering high quality components.

Job competencies, Key Skills and Experience needed:

  • The ability to read engineering drawings
  • The ability to use specialised measuring equipment
  • A good working knowledge and understanding of the VMC machines
  • A good understanding of how to set the machines
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Good communication skills
  • A flexible approach

Working a two shift pattern of 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm, with nights proposed in the future.
