My client, a prestigious jewellery specialist in London, is looking to recruit a Diamond Setter.

Responsibilities

  • Set diamonds and gemstones including micro-setting, side-stone and central stone setting using a variety of techniques as required per design
  • Complete tasks promptly as per the manufacturing notes
  • Adhere, mentor & teach our quality standards
  • Use of the laser and handling of related operations
  • Communicate any queries which may arise during production
  • Follow company procedures when processing client orders including H&S & security protocols
  • Record timings of own productivity accurately
  • Assist Lead Setters, Head of Workshop Operations & Head of Workshop L&D as and when required
  • Assist in the recruitment and/or training of new setting staff as required
  • Lead by example and is a representative of the workshop, workshop etiquette and health & safety
  • Provide cover for Lead Setters when required

Requirements

  • Have strong technical knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes
  • Be confident and able to set a variety of advanced level designs, setting styles and cuts of stone
  • Work using a microscope
  • Be proficient with our laser technology
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
  • Demonstrate a high level of quality control
  • Follow company security procedures
  • Have a positive attitude and be an active company ambassador
  • Engage with clients on workshop tours when required
  • Have an exceptional eye for detail
  • Be approachable and supportive to others in the setting team and business as a whole
  • Lead by example in using best practices in and around the workshop

Reports to

Reports to the Head of Workshop Operations.
