Electrical / Mechanical Design Engineer with Aircraft experience

Are you looking for a New Role, do you have experience of Aircraft Mechanical / Electrical engineering, if so, we may have just the role for you!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer in a production Support role.

This is a long-term Contract role, working within the Belcan team on our client's site in the Preston, Lancashire area.

Responsibilities:

The Design engineer will be engaged on an Aircraft military project, he/she will be conversant with CATIA V5 CAD to support production query notes and build integration.

Essential Skills you will need for this role:

Toolset knowledge: - Catia V5, PLM, Vizview, HMSCAPP Planning.

Role Specifics: - Ability to visit shop floor on a regular basis, Configuration knowledge (A/C splits etc.), Change Board attendance.

Ability to analyse information and apply sound engineering judgement to solve problems. Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of stakeholders.

Working with both Belcan internal teams and external customers, suppliers, and partners. Managing Design tasks to meet programme schedules. Applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes to design responses.

Education Level - Minimum Mechanical HNC/HND, Apprenticeship/Training.

Security

All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction and have a background that will allow UK security clearance to a minimum of BPSS level.
