Zest Recruitment and Legal Consultancy are recruiting for an Employment Law Solicitor to join a Top 100 Law Firm based in their Cardiff office.

The Employment Law team deals with a full range of employment law issues, including providing day to day advice to employers, corporate and commercial support, training as well as employment tribunal litigation. They work with clients to go further than just offering employment law advice by working to understand the ramifications that decisions could have for the wider business.

Reporting to the Department Head, the role will include responsibility for a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious work. Although most of the work is for respondents, experience of acting for individuals will be advantageous.

The role will involve -

  • Advising employers/employees on a range of matters including unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, business restructuring/redundancies, settlement agreements, company policies and procedures, dismissals and contractual issues.
  • Conducting Employment Tribunal litigation.
  • Drafting HR policies and procedures.
  • Speaking at seminars/webinars, writing articles for marketing purposes and contributing to the Firm’s social media accounts to raise the profile of the firm and the employment team.

The successful candidate will be a Solicitor with 3 years PQE experience and will be required to make a pro-active contribution to implementing the department’s business plan, including delivering seminars and training as well as attending networking events and building relationships with new and existing clients.
