The Opportunity:
Salary up to £55k + excellent benefits package inc bonus - hybrid working - superb industrial business

My client, a superb industrial business on Teesside is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team as a a result of business growth.  Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be lead on statutory reporting as well as Group reporting. . 

Main duties/responsibilities:
  • Assist the Financial Controller in maintaining precise and timely financial records
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, analysing transactions and preparing necessary journals (including Fixed Asset transactions)
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to group internal control procedures
  • Assist team members in reconciling key Balance Sheet accounts
  • Prepare statutory accounts for 3 legal entities, meeting deadlines
  • Serve as a primary contact during internal and external audit processes with support from the Finance team
  • Provide accurate data and analysis for Corporation Tax submissions
  • Review and submit VAT workings

You will be/have:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • 3 years post qualification experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of financial management and strong analysis skills
  • Extensive knowledge of statutory accounts reporting
