Our client, a leading provider of grounds maintenance services across the Isle of Wight, is seeking a Ground Maintenance Operative. This company is renowned for its commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining the beautiful landscapes of the island. What Does the Role Entail?

In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of various landscapes, including parks, gardens, and public spaces. You will perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning, and planting, operate and maintain landscaping equipment and machinery, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas. Additionally, you will assist in landscape projects, identify and report issues related to pests or environmental conditions, and work with team members to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations.

What Skills Will You Have?

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field, strong knowledge of plants and gardening techniques, and the ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery. Physical fitness, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a valid UK driving licence are also important.
