Health and Safety Officer
This company is currently seeking a temporary Health and Safety Officer to work on an agency contract via NHS in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection, audit and incident investigation to ensure that the safety of staff and service users is protected. This is a Band 6 Level role with hours of work being Monday to Friday 9-5.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine their root cause and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Provide advice and guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a culture of safety
- A recognized qualification in Health and Safety
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience in a Health and Safety, governance or risk management role
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to work autonomously as well as an effective team member
