We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Housing Assistant on a Temporary basis.

A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential, there is free parking on site. This is a full-time role with flexbile hours.


Day to day duties will include:

  • To assist with the delivery of allocation services in particular maintenance of waiting list including processing housing applications and providing housing advice
  • To provide administration support to the Allocations and other Tenancy Services teams
  • To undertake lettings administration and other allocation related tasks including sign up of new tenants, accompanied viewings and a range of home visits
  • To carry out inspections and surveys to ensure works comply with relevant Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
  • To deal with customer enquiries received from the Contact Centre, by digital self-serve portal, phone, e-mail, in writing & face to face within corporate timescales
  • To receive and acknowledge requests from customers for all housing or housing related services and to liaise with the appropriate section to ensure that action is taken in respect of the service request
  • To provide administrative support to the various functions within specialised teams and to maintain office records, deal with incoming and outgoing internal and external post and filing
  • To assist with the order processing of goods and materials & raise invoices
  • To provide assistance and support customers seeking accommodation including assistance with an application process, advice on sheltered housing
  • Monitor housing rent and garage licence accounts and the implementation of preliminary action to prevent or recover current or former tenant’s arrears
