IT Lifecycle Manager @Greencore

As the IT Lifecycle Manager, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of all IT managed products and services within the organisation including: planning, procurement, implementation, maintenance, and eventual retirement or replacement of IT hardware and software.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage adherence to our patching policies for all IT services, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure regular and successful patching occurs with minimal disruption
  • Ensure there are end-of-life strategies in place for all IT assets, including legacy systems and outdated hardware assets and software solutions. This will include coordinating with all IT teams to plan for the retirement or replacement of IT assets, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all managed IT assets, configurations, and associated procedures for their lifecycle. This includes preparing regular reports and presentations for senior management e.g. current patch, version, security posture and EoL status
  • Drive the procurement process for technology products and services in line with our lifecycle roadmap. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure cost-effectiveness and budget control/planning
  • Collaborate with IT Delivery or coordinate IT Operations to own and implement any change activity triggered by lifecycle management or where IT is the "customer". This includes scoping, structuring, and driving change through our IT process, even if ultimately delivered outside of IT Operations
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with technology assets and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard against cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and compliance violations. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure adherence to standards and regulations

What we're looking for

  • Experience in IT lifecycle management, IT project management, or related roles * Good understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving results and managing complex projects from inception to completion
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate technology trends, assess business needs, and make data-driven decisions
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE or PMP are desirable.
