IT Technician

Title: IT Technician (Onsite Support Agent) - Contract Role in Immingham

We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT technician to join our team as an Onsite Support Agent. This is a contract role based in Immingham, United Kingdom within the IT sector.

Job Description:

Role Overview
As the onsite support agent you will be responsible for providing technical assistance with hardware and software issues on-site at client premises. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, have experience working within a similar environment whilst being able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
* Providing first-level contact and issue resolution.
* Installing or configuring new devices like laptops, desktops printers etc...
* Troubleshooting system failures or bugs while keeping track of any reported problems until they're resolved satisfactorily.
* Supporting clients' requests via phone calls/email/remote sessions/on-premises visits when required.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Previous experience supporting technology infrastructure solutions particularly Microsoft Windows 10 Operating systems environments would be advantageous but not essential;
- Excellent written/oral communication skills including good listening abilities coupled with strong customer service orientation;
- Ability to diagnose common PC/laptop faults such as overheating/crashing;

Please note that this job falls inside IR35 regulations so appropriate tax payments must apply if successful candidate operates through their own limited company/entity.
