Role: Lead Geospatial Engineer

Clearance: UK*C DV

Salary: up to £80,000 depending on experience

One of Searchability NS&D's clients has a need for a Lead Geospatial Engineer. You will be working for a global aerospace and defence technology company that designs and manufactures advanced technological systems for government and commercial customer. You will be at the forefront of delivering core solutions that have a real-world impact.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a Geospatial SME, lead work as part of an Agile team.
• Support and work alongside others within the project team as part to ensure timely delivery and solution quality.
• Provide governance through the creation of technical documentation.
• Some UK travel required to attend team and customer meetings.

Technical Stack:

• Experience of using cloud infrastructure within AWS - Automated deployments (IaaC, Serverless)
• Knowledge and application of one of the following programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java).
• Experience of deploying and supporting enterprise GIS Systems, preferably Esri ArcGIS Enterprise.

Your Experience:

• knowledge of Geospatial concepts, providing subject matter expertise within a team or project.
• Experience in designing and delivering geospatial solutions, following agreed standards and tools.
• Understanding of Data Management principles to ensure best use of organisation and visualisation of mapping services.
