Lettings Client Accountant

At Hurford Salvi Carr we are currently looking to recruit a Lettings Client Accountant to come and join our team based in our office in Docklands, London. You will join us on a full time, office based, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary based on your experience (which ideally is minimum two years’ client accountant in the property industry).

About the Lettings Client Accountant role:

Our Lettings Client Accountant will form part of a successful and experienced management team and will benefit from mentoring and professional career advancement. Key responsibilities of our Lettings Client Accountant :

• Processing new lettings deals, deposit returns and rent receipts.
• Inputting payments and transfers to the company’s bank for authorisation.
• Processing contractor invoices, reconciling contractor statements, consolidation of aged and outstanding amounts and liaising with Lettings and Management departments to ensure nothing is outstanding.
• Managing Rent Arrears on behalf of the company’s landlords and chasing tenants for payment.
• Periodic reporting to clients and landlords and sending out deposit certificates to landlords and tenants.
• Daily distribution of client bank statement to all residential lettings staff.
• Monthly reconciliation of the company’s Short Lets.
• Dealing with queries regarding landlord statements, tenants and contractors and assist with ARLA audit.
• Processing suppliers invoices once a week at our Clerkenwell office EC1.

What we’re looking for in our Lettings Client Accountant:

• A minimum 2 years experience working in a similar role in the property industry
• Previous Reapit software experience desirable
• Enthusiastic, well presented, confident and polite
•  Able to work independently and prioritise worlaod effectively
• High accuracy levels and attention to detail
• Fast learner and able to communicate to all parties
