Are you a skilled and hands-on individual looking for a short-term opportunity to make a real impact? CRM Students is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Coventry for a crucial 1-week turnaround period. This is an exciting opportunity to help us ensure our student accommodation meets the highest standards as we prepare for the new academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and repairing taps.
- Carry out basic electrical repairs, such as replacing bulbs, sockets, and switches.
- Undertake carpentry work, including fixing doors, assembling furniture, and general woodwork.
- Execute painting and decorating tasks to refresh rooms and communal areas.
- Complete snagging tasks, identifying and resolving minor defects to ensure rooms are up to the required standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Skills & Experience:
- Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and painting/decorating.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred but not essential.
