Management Accountant - Oldham

Due to internal growth within the business we are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team full-time.

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day financial management of Enforcement businesses within the Group. Responsibilities include business partnering for operational delivery functions, handling core financial processes like monthly reporting and forecasting for operational Profit & Loss. The role will also provide transactional finance review of the finance function in Scotland and pick up regular, reactive ad-hoc work from Finance Business Partner & Head of Finance based on requirements, involvement in the Group tasks, and maintaining the control environment.

Duties Include:

  • Provide support to Operational P&L managers

  • Support operational delivery, planning alongside key operational stakeholders

  • Support operational colleagues and other stakeholders to improve financial acumen and awareness

  • Support a robust review process of financial and commercial information across the Group

  • Support the Group in risk assessment processes and maintaining a risk management culture throughout the organisation

  • Assist the development of BI to provide insight ensuring control, profitable growth and effective decision-making

  • Assist the creation of the Group's long term financial plans

  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to ensure the delivery of information that will ensure the ongoing management of the current and future health of the sector including income, expenditure and long-term planning

  • Support the consolidation of budgets and short-term forecasts to meet the needs of the business

  • Review transactional finance data, like client remittance, purchase and sales ledger entries for accuracy before distribution and processing

  • Assist the maintenance of a rolling risks and ops log

  • Deliver to reporting times, maintain the accuracy of all journals and final GL balances

  • Complete timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management

  • Support internal stakeholders, specifically across Finance to ensure timely, insightful and accurate monthly management information to agreed timelines

The ideal candidate will be part qualified or qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA. You will have experience of financial reporting and forecasting in a multi-site organisation and an understanding of financial systems and using technology to meet reporting timelines and standards.
