Key Objectives of Role - Buyer - Mechanical To ensure availability of all production items and provide support to the R&amp;D function To become a key member of the supply team, supporting the tactical and operational objectives. Summary of Main Responsibilities:&nbsp; Developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of Meech products Taking responsibility for sourcing, purchasing and the delivery of materials and components Involvement in the weekly running of the MPS/MRP from Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) Placing of Purchase Orders - maintaining accurate inbound delivery dates on Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) and liaising with Production, Customer Service and Goods-in warehouse Control of free issue items to suppliers for subcontract Ensuring consistent regulatory compliance, Quality, OTIF and cost performance Ensuring the&nbsp;MRP/ERP&nbsp;system reflects current trading conditions such as lead-time, ordering quantities and price (minimum order quantities/minimum stock holding) Person Specification &amp; Key Requirements: Proven experience as a buyer within a manufacturing environment; preferably with knowledge of subcontract and direct procurement of fabricated metal, bespoke manufactured parts, including metal and plastic machined components Demonstratable experience of delivering cost savings Excellent understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, Risk management, Environmental Social Governance, Supplier Relationship Management &amp; Negotiation Ability to understand and extract technical information from drawings and specifications Numerate, analytical and commercially aware A competent user of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables etc) Strong MRP/ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) Excellent organisational skills, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and forward thinking. Main Objectives: 50% of the role will be to assist the Meech USA office in their marketing activities, 20% of the role will focus on the Meech USA CRM activity and 30% will be to assist the Meech Global marketing team in a range of marketing activates. In all cases the role will ultimately build brand awareness, reputation, and sales for Meech International. Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the Marketing Director with a dotted line to the Meech USA Vice President, the key activities and responsibilities include: Responsible for design, planning and implementation of all Meech USA E-shot and communications to our global database. This will include product and application E-shots as well as sales visit communications by the USA sales team. Responsible for planning and administration of Meech USA exhibition activity. This will include booking stand space and completing all forms relating to the exhibitions. Work with the Meech global Marketing Agency (external) to promote Meech USA and their sales activity.&nbsp; Working with members of the global Marketing team and Meech USA commercial team to develop marketing initiatives around the core Meech Industries, applications and products. Working with the Meech USA Commercial Team to develop PR opportunities and case studies. Feed back to the Meech USA team the activities of the global marketing team and promote ideas and opportunities from the Meech USA commercial team to the Meech global marketing team. Develop and coordinate the Meech CRM system, specifically in relation to activity in the USA.&nbsp; Where and when needed assist with the development of the Meech website. This includes working with other members of the team to ensure monitoring and reporting is carried out. Working with other members of the global marketing team to design and film videos and animations that promote Meech. This could also include arranging and promoting Webinars. Design marketing materials, including Meech brochures, strategy documents, presentations, application guides and product manuals. Work with other member of the Marketing and Product Management team on product launches, including any launch packs, videos, data sheets (also responsible for the product launches being communicated to the Meech USA team). Support Product Management Team with competitor research and analysis. Any other duties or responsibilities that may reasonably be required from time to time. Key Requirements: Based at Meech’s UK head office in Witney, Oxfordshire, with direct links to the Meech USA office in Akron Ohio. Some Marketing qualifications (degree or CIM) would be an advantage. Experience of working in a marketing department would be desirable. Good written English Experience of using Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator) and any other design package. Good presenting skills – Webinars etc&nbsp; Potential for travel to Meech USA office when required.&nbsp; Organised, confident, self-disciplined, thorough and logical.
