Motor Claims Handler

Monday-Friday

Up to £28,000 DOE + bonus

MPJ Recruitment are proud to be working with a reputable insurance company based in the Birmingham area. Currently, we have a variety of motor claims roles available ranging from PI to credit hire & intervention claims. The ideal candidate will have 12+ months of experience operating within motor claims.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with a growing business who will be looking to offer excellent opportunities for progression to the right candidates.

Motor Claims Handler Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and record claims on our in-house system within product standards, check policy coverage and allocate appropriate codes and reserves.
  • Make liability enquiries, in accordance with Adjuster’s Manual, using most appropriate method (phone, correspondence, field visit).
  • Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with the company's realistic reserving philosophy.
  • Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate.
  • Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously and promptly.
  • Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure.
