Operational Analyst
Our client are a globall energy giant who have a UK based office in Central London of approx 120 staff
They are seeking an experienced and detailed orientated Performance and Operational Analyst to join our Operational Services Unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the corporate sector with a strong background in financial management and presenting to senior management.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Management and Variance Analysis:
- Oversee monthly accruals and ensure precision in financial reporting
- Perform monthly variance analysis to identify and report on discrepancies to budget holders
- Provide monthly management information reports to the Head of Department
- Ad-hoc reporting as and when required
Business Reporting:
- Prepare, consolidate and present at the annual UK Board of Directors meetings
- Coordinate and consolidate input from management to support quarterly business reviews and ad-hoc reports
- Support budget holders with developing detailed business plans ensuring alignment with both company and departmental objectives
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on operational performance, including KPI analysis
- Ad-hoc reports as and when required
Qualifications/attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the oil industry or a service facing environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience with SAP S/4 Hana is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
