We are now looking to recruit a hardworking, articulate individual to join our Operational Banking team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Operational Banking and Cash Teams provide effective cash management and accurate record keeping for funds moving into and out of the Platform for our Investcentre, AJ Bell (D2C), Custody Solutions and Traditional Clients.

This role is key to ensuring customers are serviced efficiently and that AJ Bells records are accurate at all times to ensure all client money is protected according to FCA regulations. The Administrator will work closely with other team members to support team performance in achievement of all SLAs and KPIs through effective delivery of the workflows in line with procedures and controls.

This role also supports other teams across AJ Bell by providing service and answering queries.

What does the job involve?

  • Facilitating, instructing and processing the movement of funds between customers own accounts, internal company bank accounts and external Investment Partners and Banks
  • Processing and banking cheques received in relation to client cash settlement
  • Instructing cash movements on the online banking systems & identifying/applying incoming payments
  • Running deposit interest calculations and applying to client accounts
  • Ensure all funds relating to Client Money are processed and adequately protected

What you'll have:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE's grades A*-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Ability and commitment to deliver excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competent IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, at times unsupervised
  • Experience of financial services, or a keen interest in it, is desirable
