Purchase Ledger Clerk | £25,000 - £27,000 | Chorley + Hybrid | Opportunities to progress and lead the team | Great benefits

Axon Moore are pleased to be partnering a high-growth business in Chorley as they look to bolster their finance team with the addition of an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk capable of potentially leading the AP team within c.2 years.

Due to the potential progression within the role, prior Accounts Payable experience is required for this role. As such, this fantastic opportunity is well suited to hard-working and mentoring Purchase Ledger Clerks seeking growth within their role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Processing purchase invoices and dealing with queries
  • Implementing/ streamlining new and existing processes
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members
  • First point of contact for all complex queries
  • Completing BACS and manual payments
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with audits
  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills
  • Able to build and maintain long-lasting working relationships
  • Willingness to learn and succeed
  • Good attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Knowledge of VAT and HMRC regulations 
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently
