The Role: Laundry Operative is responsible for the servicing (collecting, sorting, washing, bagging, etc.) of client laundry in accordance with the schedules provided. The candidate will excel in good team communication, as well as good numeracy and writing skills. The Laundry operative must show incitive and the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. From time to time the Laundry operative may also be asked to assist with other hygiene tasks within the Hygiene department Responsibilities: Sorting laundry items according to material, colour and wash requirements and instruction labels to avoid any damage and optimise service Use of digital system to record and report on laundry servicing for our customers. Accurately document laundry items to ensure correct billing for the laundered goods To wash, dry, press or iron laundry items using the laundry room equipment and products provided Inspect laundry before washing for stains to be removed or noticeable damage or wear and tear to be noted Inspect returning items as bagged to ensure quality control is maintained Ensure all laundry is properly dry before bagging and neatly folded to avoid damp and mildew issues Bag clean dry laundry correctly to ensure returned to the correct client Keep clear records of laundry processed, quantities, damage or noted issues reported via the companies digital service app for each client Ensure completion of correct documents Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room Regularly check stock level of all products used such as machine detergents, update and request stock to maintain a continuous service Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner and communicate these to your Department Team Leader, Manager or Supervisor Collect and deliver laundry for servicing or return using a company provided vehicle Essential Requirements: Work independently according to specification. Experience in laundry services or cleaning is welcomed, training will be provided. The role requires a Full UK car driving license for a minimum of 2 years. The employee shall hold no more than 3 penalty points. Experience of driving large vans/ vehicles is preferable. The Laundry Operative may work within contracts which require an enhanced security clearance in order to obtain access to the client’s buildings for deliveries and collection of Laundry. You will ensure that employees within your remit receive proper onboarding, training and development to allow them to excel in their role at Sasse.&nbsp; Your Responsibilities: Work&nbsp;to&nbsp;a strict&nbsp;department&nbsp;budget&nbsp;to deliver&nbsp;outstanding,&nbsp;but&nbsp;efficient&nbsp;performance in your areas of responsibility with guidance from the Senior Operations Manager. Deliver effective team management coordinating multiple resources across varying locations. You will lead &amp; motivate field-based teams in your area of responsibility to ensure efficient operations for our customers. Demonstrate and implement robust practices.&nbsp; Work in collaboration with the Senior Operations Manager to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. Ensure Sasse quality standards are met through regular audits and inspections using the company’s digital tools. Recruit, onboard &amp; train new starters. Adopt a “hands on” approach where required. Ensure scheduling, wages and budgets are processed correctly and in line with management instructions.&nbsp; Assist with implementation of new contracts and or assist with handover of contracts to new supplier. &nbsp; About you: You will preferably have a strong knowledge and understanding of Facilities Management. You must be able to demonstrate meticulous digital and workforce skills and provide examples of these during interview.
