Dunbar Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Telford, seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the May half term.
The Role:We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient individual to work on a 1:1 basis with a Key Stage 1 pupil who has Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a diagnosis of Autism. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child's educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day

Support the child's learning and social development

Implement and adapt strategies in line with the pupil's EHCP

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO

Create a nurturing and safe environment for the child to thrive

Experience working with children with SEN, particularly SLD and Autism

A calm, caring and adaptable approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A commitment to inclusive education

Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)

Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
