Role - Senior Accounts Payable Officer

Salary - Up to £33k

Location - St. Albans

Our client, a rapidly growing and ambitious natural foods company, is seeking an Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their team in St Albans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various sister companies within the Lotus Bakeries family, which they joined in 2021.

As an Senior Accounts Payable Officer , you will play a vital role in processing incoming invoices from the UK entities, ensuring accurate registration and approval. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Team Lead, fostering effective communication with the Belgium-based AP and AR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify the accuracy of incoming purchase invoices from UK entities.
  • Review and process expense claims, ensuring timely approval by managers.
  • Monitor and reconcile specific accounts payable accounts on the balance sheet.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Produce accurate accounting reports and present results.
  • Assist with external audits and projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of AP workflows.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (SAP knowledge is a plus).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 3-5 years of accounts payable experience in medium to large companies.
  • Motivated and eager to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills.
