Method Resourcing are proud to be partnering with a B-Corp scale-up who are allowing homes to achieve net-zero emissions through their internally develop IoT Smart Devices. They are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join as the sole Data Engineer, joining a wider Software Engineering team. You will be able to work autonomously and provide advice to the wider business around the data road map.

As a Data Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate commercial experience in a majority of the following areas:

• Expertise in Python and SQL (must have)
• Extensive experience in GCP - BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage
• Previously used an orchestration tool - They use Composer, Airflow also considered
• Experience with real time data, preferably from IoT - They use PubSub, Kafka also considered
• It is highly desirable if you have used Terraform to provision IaC

The role is paying up to £70,000 base salary + Benefits. We are offering this role on a hybrid model, ideally this will be once every 2 weeks in Cardiff, however, we are able to consider once a month for the right candidate.
