Role Overview:

This role will provide support to the UK CFO. There are specific workstreams which are listed below, but there will also be ad-hoc projects and requests which will form part of the role.

Non-Fund Related Scope:

Records Management

Attend the records management committee and ensure any documents Illiquid Asset Operations are responsible for are properly maintained.

SPE Governance Oversight

Ensure the SPE Governance framework is adhered to and all entities are correctly captured in the SPE Governance list.

Data warehouse

Create and launch a shared repository for the key metrics and key documents for each product. This warehouse will then be used as the single source for all internal reporting, to ensure consistency.

AUM reporting

Review and approve AUM submissions to the Philippines reporting team.

FOC Coordination

Work with Investment governance and Lux team to ensure FOC information is collated and communicated to the Luxembourg management board.

Wepla reporting

Provide the MIS reporting to the Wepla management board, ensuring it is performed on time and with enough detail.

Operations Manual

Responsibility for updating the operations manuals for applicable funds working with the CFO teams to ensure all relevant actions are captured.

Directorships Register

Work with Investment Division team to ensure the register of directorships and all required documentation is kept up-to-date.

Oversight of Call Back process

Work with the existing team to ensure the call back process implemented for Payment Gold Standards is operating effectively.

Audit finding management

Work with the CFO to ensure audit points and SIIs are being properly progressed and updates are communicated to internal stakeholders.

Authority Matrix oversight

Ensure that authority matrices for all products are kept up-do-date and reviewed at least annually.

Management Fee Oversight

Ensure management fees for all products are raised and cash is collected on time.

Aminet - QAC

Take responsibility as QAC for relevant Aminet entries.

Valuation Committee Charter Maintenance

Ensure the charter governing valuations is reviewed regularly and coordinate any updates.

AAF lead

Lead the response to the AAF audit, coordinating with the CFO team to ensure all responses are received in accordance with the deadline.

Volcker Reporting

Ensure that for all applicable reporting we have evidence of Volcker reviews and if applicable, filings.

Fund Related:
Provide support across all fund products, where required. The fund related work will start within the Debt and Real Estate divisions with the successful applicant learning the major workstreams for the products in order to help the existing teams with their workload.

The typical workstreams for a Senior Fund CFO Specialist are:
  • Overseeing the global fund reporting operations of assigned funds
  • Provide assistance and support to junior team members
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the books and records and production of quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Lux GAAP and other local GAAPs for funds, holding companies and SPVs, which are administered by third parties.
  • Coordinating investor reporting including quarterly preparation of Net Asset Value (NAV), distribution of capital accounts and tax reporting, and preparation of responses to ad-hoc investor reporting requests
  • Overseeing the annual tax compliance of funds, holding companies and SPVs
  • Planning and delivering fund administration and reporting services, ensuring smooth information flows and accuracy of information
  • Managing liquidity, including investor calls and distributions, transaction funding, facility management, cash repatriation, hedging and vendor payables
  • Monitoring of fund's compliance with the offering and formation documents and investor side letters
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting and filing obligations including regulatory reporting, tax/VAT returns and all other required submissions
  • Maintaining regular contact with auditors, providing support to the audit process and ensuring issues raised during the audit process are reported to management and promptly dealt with
  • Assisting in AIFMD reporting, as well as Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) reporting
  • Responsibility for operational, tax and treasury related topics during transactions, including analysis of take-on NAVs for SPVs, review and checking of tax structuring memoranda and review of transaction documents.
What we are looking for:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA etc) with at least 5years PQE
  • Experience within the Investment Fund industry and / or financial industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Educated to degree level, or with relevant work experience
