Senior Pensions Technical Specialist - SSAS/SIPP

£50,000-£55,000 DOE

Bolton/Leicester/Salisbury/Wimbledon

NJR are currently working with a well-established Financial Services company who are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be part of the technical team who will provide technical support to the client, with specific responsibility for ensuring policy issues are managed effectively and operational procedures are fit for purpose. Policy management will require recognition of issues, provision of information to allow informed decision making, recording policy and rational for decisions, reviewing policy considering changes, communication policy. You will also help in the production of product literature and technical guides.

Procedure management will require review, engagement with the operational team management concerning procedural changes to operational areas, sign off amendments, minimising referral to the Technical department andrecommendingidentifiableefficienciesinprocedure.Aspartoftheteamstructureyouwillensurecolleagues willbekeptfullyappraisedoflegislativechanges,policyandproceduresandlikewiseyouwillberequiredtokeep up to date in respect of Pensions Legislation with specific reference to SSAS arrangements.

Akeyteamfunctionistomaintainatechnicalmailboxandsupporttodealwithoperativequeriesandissues.You will alsobe requiredtosupport businessdevelopmentactivities i.e. sales, productandpropositiondevelopment. A key focus will be on imparting technical knowledge through effective spoken, written, and presentational mediums to operational teams, trustee and sales consultants.

Experienced Required

  • Graduate Calibre
  • Min 10yrs SIPP/SSAS Technical/Operational Experience
  • Good general pension legislation Knowledge
  • Systems savvy with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Used to day-to-day operation of self-administered schemes.
  • Numerate with good Verbal Reasoning and communication skills.
  • PMI, CII or Financial Services qualification preferred but not essential.
