£40,000/50,000

Electrical bias with mechanical understanding

Yorkshire – Huddersfield UK Travel

Company Vehicle -Van

2 nights per week away from home

3/5% pension matched

20 day holiday plus 8 BH

Xmas Shutdown – Equivalent to 5 days Annual Leave

My client is a leading manufacturer of Bagging, wrapping, stretch & packing machines supplying mainly into the food industry. They have been established 50 years and employ 30 people across all arms of the business.  

The role

  • Electrical bias with mechanical understanding
  • Experience of FMCG, Material handling, Food, Packaging or capital equipment involving conveyors
  • Service engineer or maintenance engineer background
  • Working in wet & cold environments in the food industry
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams
  • Working on 3 phase machines
  • PLC fault finding with some modifications
  • Commissioning of new machinery Breakdowns, service & installation
  • Ability to read electrical drawing & fault find
  • Working with bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pulley, chains ect
  • Good mechanical diagnostic experience
  • Software updates
  • Changing IO cards
  • HMI – inputs outputs
  • Proactive team player
  • Company are looking for a technical proactive engineer
  • 1 service visit per day

Qualification/Expereince

  • City & guilds/NVQ Qualification/18th edition  
  • Capital equipment experience
  • Ability to cover a UK role with nights away
